The story behind Raw Nectar!
Beekeeping is something difficult and challenging and I was expecting to find something in a family tradition and I was not wrong! Childhood memories are said to be the strongest because that's when everything seems great and big to the innocent child's eyes and that's where great things spring from!
My Family tradition with a unique combination of island origin and even from a barren line, with the beautiful Sparta and with the common denominator of liquid gold and beautiful feathered ...girls led to the creation of Raw Nectar.
Raw Nectar Honey tells a story with salty and earthy aromas, a story with simplicity and pure Greek hospitality, a story with innocent childishness and carefree spirit, a story that turns the one who tastes it into an eternal child and turns him mentally but intensely into the past! Our place, wherever we come from, is full of customs, beautiful moments and beautiful smells. By tasting Raw Nectar we find ourselves closer and closer to our village, our origins and our favourite flavours. It is not possible that some forgotten memory will awaken you! If not, it will create a new unforgettable one!
Raw Nectar took me back in time and I felt something I hadn't felt in many years! So growing up on a barren island in the Cyclades, Herakleia, I used to visit a friend's grandfather's beehives by dipping my fingers into the honeycombs. I was really tasting what we call raw honey. Straight from our girls. Later, and a little older, I couldn't get enough of the addictive smells of the honey my uncle made in his brewery. It was then that I got the idea to make my own honey using the exact same recipe. The recipe I learned from that grandfather. Love, care and lots of traveling for me and my girls to every corner of Greece. Collecting this honey makes me feel the way I felt back then. This is what I love this is what I offer to you. Raw Nectar is your ticket to your unprocessed childhood.
